Dr. Keya Patel

Hi, I’m Dr. Keya!

I was born and raised in central New Jersey, where I grew up loving snowy winters, New York pizza, and summers at the Jersey Shore. When I was 16, my family moved to Allen, Texas, and I traded snow shovels for sunshine and I’ve been a sunshine girl ever since!

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Pacific in California, then headed to UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. It was during dental school that I discovered my true passion: pediatric dentistry! I went on to complete my specialty training at UT Health San Antonio, learning how to care for little smiles from infancy through the teen years, including kids with special healthcare needs. From oral conscious sedation and hospital dentistry to dental trauma and behavior management, my goal is always to make each visit positive, comfortable, and even fun, because I believe great dental experiences in childhood can last a lifetime.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me hanging out with my family and friends, playing volleyball, traveling to new places, or watching movies (bonus points if there’s popcorn involved!). I speak three languages, love learning new ones, and dream of joining dental mission trips to help children in rural communities around the world.
